Our Story

Phuck Cancer was born in a hospital room in 2010, in the middle of a fight that no one signs up for. My dad was battling lung cancer that had metastasized to his brain. During some of those hardest moments, a random person on Twitter (now X) reached out just to offer support. That simple, unexpected kindness showed me how much it means to have someone—even a stranger—say, “You’re not alone.”

That’s why I started Phuck Cancer.
That’s why I still run it today.

I own and run phuckcancer.com and @phuckcancer on X. I use them both to tell my story, support others, and create a home for anyone whose life has been turned upside down by cancer—fighters, loved ones, survivors, and those left remembering.

Why “Phuck Cancer”?

Because sometimes you just have to say it like you feel it.
Cancer tries to steal hope, joy, and dignity—but it doesn’t get the last word. “Phuck Cancer” is a rallying cry for everyone who’s tired of playing nice with a disease that isn’t.

What Does Phuck Even Mean?

Let’s be honest: nothing captures the raw, gut-punch anger of cancer like the F word. But I wanted the energy and truth of that word—without dragging along all the negative baggage it can carry.
“Phuck” is defiant, loud, and honest, but just different enough to make people think, to invite a conversation instead of shutting one down.

It’s about reclaiming power, not about crossing the line.
